As we enter the colder months and the British weather deteriorates (further) the idea of alfresco dining sadly dissipates. However, thanks to the Copper Club Tower Bridge, all hope is not lost…
In 2016, positioned on the banks of the river Thames stood eight giant heated igloos which looked out onto the iconic views of London’s Tower Bridge, HMS Belfast, and The Shard. They were a social media sensation and sold out within the first week of their launch.
2016’s “party pods” were heated and made from PVC frames, had speakers, as well as sheepskin blankets to keep cosy. They were available for private hire as well as walk-ins and served the full Coppa Club menu alongside festive cocktails. Three of the igloos could fit up to eight guests seated around a large circular table, and other five were riverside lounges.
This year, there will be seven igloos which have been redesigned and promise to be even cooler and cosier which will no doubt fill our Instagram feeds and insight an even more intense feeling of FOMO (fear of missing out). They’ll be made from timber frames and Perspex sliding doors and again, kitted out with warm blankets, heating, and speakers to make it an enviable festive river-side experience.
The igloos replace the custom-made timber cabanas which existed for the summer on Coppa Club’s riverside terrace so that all year-around you can get that alfresco feeling!
